Chester is a busy and popular race course, with exquisite dining and hospitality provision.

Dress Code for Chester Racecourse:

Customers in the County Stand: Long Room and Concourse and in all hospitality and restaurant facilities, are required to observe a strict dress code. Gentlemen are required to wear a suit jacket, collar and tie. Ladies are required to wear smart dress. The Racecourse reserves the right to prohibit racegoers who are incorrectly dressed from entering designated areas.

The Racecourse is situated in the heart of Chester supported by an extensive road and rail network.

By Road

The M53, M56, M6 and A483 are all in close proximity to Chester providing excellent links from Liverpool, Manchester, North Wales and the south of England. The Racecourse is signed from all the major routes into Chester on racedays.

Car Parking

Car parking is on the Open Course and only for cars with a car pass. Car passes can be purchased in advance from the ticket office or from pay lane booths on race days. On Sunday Funday only, car parking will be operated on a first come first served basis.

A car pass costs £7 except on Roman Day and Sunday Funday when it costs £8.

By Air

Call 01244 522 012/3 Hawarden airport, Deeside for Helicopter / light aircraft landing facilities. Helicopters are allowed to land on the racecourse by prior consent with the Racecourse only. No Helicopter is allowed to allowed to land on either Roman Day or Sunday Funday.
