Dress Code for Market Rasen Racecourse:

A day at the races is an occasion where smart dress is very much encouraged.

In the County Enclosure smart dress is a requirement. Jackets and ties are not obligatory, but racegoers wearing scruffy/ripped denim, beachwear, unduly casual or extreme attire will not gain entry to the County Enclosure.

Racegoers in the Tattersalls Enclosure usually dress smartly. Smart shorts and jeans are acceptable but no bare tops or singlets please.

Dress in the  Family Enclosure is generally casual.

It is important to dress for the weather forecast and to be aware that some areas of the course involve walking on grass where shoes with a sturdy or flat heel are a practical choice.

Dressing up is positively encouraged for the key racemeetings such as Summer Plate Day and Ladies Night. Hats are not obligatory, but are worn by the majority at these special events.

Market Rasen Racecourse is located in an attractive setting at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds, on the outskirts of the market town of Market Rasen and midway between the beautiful Cathedral City of Lincoln and the famous fishing town of Grimsby.

The Racecourse is well signed being on the East side of Market Rasen alongside the A6531

Parking is FREE EXCEPT IN WILLINGHAM & LEGSBY ROAD PICNIC CAR PARKS where there is a charge of £5 per car, £10 for mini buses (plus Family Enclosure admission per adult occupant).

TRAVELLING BY RAIL
The nearest railway station is at Market Rasen and is approximately ¾ of a mile from the racecourse.

• Fixed wing aircraft can land at Wickenby Airfield (01673 885345)
• 5 miles South East of the Racecourse.
