Dress Code for Newcastle Racecourse:
The Premier Enclosure allows access to all public areas of the racecourse. Smart attire is preferred, no sportwear or trainers in the Premier Enclosure.

The Grandstand & Paddock Enclosure provides restricted access to public areas of the course. The Grandstand & Paddock does not have a dress code however the removal of shirts is not permitted.

Directions to Newcastle Race Course

Bus Service

There will be a FREE bus hopper service from Regent Centre & Four Lane Ends Metro Stations on each raceday. The service will run from approximately two hours prior to the first race up to the first race.

After racing the FREE bus hopper service will run up to 1 hour after the last race to both Regent Centre & Four Lane Ends Metro Stations on each raceday.

By Road

Follow the brown and white tourist board signs bearing the horse and ride from the A1, A19 and main approach roads to the city.

Newcastle Racecourse is on the outskirts of Gosforth adjacent to The Marriott Hotel.

Car Parking is free of charge. Please allow extra time in traveling to The Racecourse.

By Air

If traveling by helicopter please contact the Racecourse Office on 0191 236 2020 Newcastle International Airport is situated 6 miles from Newcastle Racecourse.

By Taxi from Newcastle City Centre

There is a taxi rank outside Newcastle Central Station. A Taxi journey should take around 15-30 minutes to Newcastle Racecourse.

Metro

From Newcastle City Centre from Haymarket, Monument or Newcastle Central Metro Stations you can take the Metro, along the airport line to Regent Centre Metro Station.

You will then need to take a bus from Regent Centre Metro Station to Newcastle Racecourse.

Bus

Outside the Regent Centre at the bus stop straight in front of you, you can take the 42, 43, 44, 45 services. Check Boards for details.

If you asked to be dropped off at The Gosforth Park Hotel, which is beside the Racecourse.

Across the road you will see the gateposts of the Racecourse and the raceday signage, this is the top of the Racecourse drive.

You will need to walk straight down the drive until you arrive at the Racecourse Buildings, which are to the right hand side of the road.

Should you require any assistance please call into The Racecourse Office, which is a green door beside The Border Minstrel Pub.

The Brandling House is normally where all our Conference and Banqueting events are held, the main house is situated past The Border Minstrel Pub.

Parklands Golf Course is situated further down the Racecourse Drive on the left hand side of the road.

Complete Football is situated on the right hand side of the road, past the Racecourse turnstiles.
