In 2005, Thirsk Racecourse
proudly celebrated 150 years of racing on the course at
Station Road in Thirsk. This has been continuous apart from
periods around the two World Wars. In 2008, Thirsk is - more then
ever - a good choice for a day out at the races, with high quality
racing, good facilities and attractive
surroundings. Thirsk is easily reached from all directions on
good roads and is easily accessible from most parts of the North of
England, making it a comfortable journey for coach parties and a
sensible venue for corporate/hospitality groups arriving from
widespread locations.
